The Problem

With a population quickly approaching 100 million, Ethiopia has fewer than 60 registered dentists. Compare this to the United States where there are over 150,000 registered dentists. On top of this, the sad reality is that most of the practicing dentists work in the capital city of Addis Ababa. This means that in the rural areas there is virtually no access to dental care.

Our Solution

We sponsor foreign teams of dentists so that they can travel and practice in rural areas of western Ethiopia. Most of our efforts are aimed at doing dental extractions due to the high incidence of severe dental abscesses.
